Wilco – Sky Blue Sky (2007)

wilco.jpg

This album is without a doubt my favorite Wilco album, mainly because of its heavy guitar sounds.

But Wilco still manages to keep its root and soft, alt rock sound. Some tracks (such as Hate It Here) keep reminding me of Paul Mccartney. The album is full of great song writings AND great band sounds. I love it.

The best of all is a track called “Impossible Germany”. The last 3 min of this sound is brilliant. No words necessary.

Lost Season 3 Finale

*major spoiler alert*

Promo

Seriously, why do people act like they never saw this coming?

Ever since Jack’s flashback started, I could sense that he was not in the past. There was no past connection left to be told. He was wasted and tried to kill himself. If there was that important incident in the past, we would have known it already.

So Jack regrets what he has done? he wants to go back but can’t find where it is? (judging by the maps on the floor in his place) I’m not so glad knowing that Kate is alive while my precious Locke might be dead either on the island or off of the island (the funeral is his?)

None the less, it was a great finale. Lost redeemed itself with this one.

And it’s always good to know the show isn’t trying to stretch itself too long: The producers are saying there would be 2 more seasons and that’s it.

Now all of my favorite shows ended their season finale. What should I do now? Work?

[Heroes] Season 1 Finale

What was this crap?

“You saved the cheerleader so we can save the world” What the f*ck was this?

I thought this show is, albeit cheesy SF and childish imagination, one of the best shows in terms of production value and unpredictable scenario.

But the ending was SOOOO cheesy and cringe worthy. I feel like I was reading a comic book. Yeah, I know it IS a comic book story. Should have known it earlier.

Well I have ZERO interest in watching Heroes in 17th century. So if that’s going to be the second season story, I’m turning the channel, NBC.

BTW, in the NY where television networks sell their next year programs to advertisers, NBC was supposed to come out with 3-4 different SF series like Heroes. Shall we shout together, Dilution and Cannibalization?

Grey’s Anatomy Season 3 Finale

Alex + Eva

The music in Grey’s, as always, is exquisite.

But other than that, this show sucks. There are couple of scenes that were done with the top notch acting however the plots are ridiculous. I have no idea why Derek and Mer are breaking up. Anyone understands it? And Izzie, please let go of Goerge. You are ruining an innocent, humble man who deserves a good life.

At least I’m glad they featured Ray LaMontagne, one of the best singer songwriters right now.

Lazy Posting – Today’s Playlist

I really hate when people post songs/copy&paste lyrics on their blogs then call it a day.

That’s not a blogging. You gotta give something that only ‘you’ can provide even when you post a song made by someone else. Something like reviews or your feelings or your sickness or whatever.

But I might become one of them today. :-( I hate myself doing this.

Joshua Radin – Star Mile

Very Simon & Garfunkel-ish or even The Beatles-ish folk tune. Good to listen to while taking a long, calm and relaxing bath ;-)

Rocco Deluca & the Burden - Colorful

The whole album is quite good actually. I just don’t have time to write a review of it. hehe.

The band became quite popular with Kiefer Sutherland name attached to it.

Excerpt from Wikipedia

Kiefer Sutherland, along with Jude Cole, through their co-owned record label Ironworks, has been the biggest promoter of the band, also being the tour promoter and manager, including helping produce the TV documentary I Trust You To Kill Me, where they travelled the world promoting the band in 2005.
