Heroes, the Bomb!

This show is just awesome. It is the only show currently on network TV that gets me excited. (until Lost and 24 come back) Too bad that we have to wait till Jan to see a new episode. But yesterday’s cliffhanger was superb enough to make me a loyal fan. I ain’t going nowhere, haha.

Had to post the ending scene from yesterday’s episode ’cause this is just fantastic.

Peter is, literally, the bomb! Wow. I didn’t see that coming.

The first scene with Peter opening up his eyes and looking around the city reminded me of the movie, Open Your Eyes.

Can they change the future? What are they going to do? Just can’t wait till January.
My January is gonna be packed with a whole lot of TV Shows!

The Streets – The Hardest Way to Make an Easy Living (2006)

One day in 2003 at Virgin Megastore in NYC, I discovered [The Streets]. I still remember the day.

The music through the headsets was so strange and original that I couldn’t put it in any genre at all – Raps with British accent, hiphop rhythm with electonica sound, yet orchestral melodies.

I came to know later that The Streets is actually one-man band, not that it mattered

Original Pirate Material (2002)

A Grand Don’t Come for Free (2004)

These are the two albums that he produced so far. His raps are anything but conventional raps that I can’t put up with. They are low-key and the songs sound like he is talking to me. Most importantly the sound is ‘groovy’ with great beats and melodies.

Anyway, The Streets released its new album sometime in 2006. I didn’t even know it until today. And I can guess why. The new album [The Hardest Way to Make an Easy Living] is a bit of step-back for him. It doesn’t live up to the previous two great albums. Most of the songs are so-so. Yet, there are a few that I am still enjoying.

Whoever wants to give it a try, go with the first or second album.
