상처와 오기
미디어 사회의 인간은 결국 외부로 어떻게 표현되는가에 자기자신의 존재가 규정된다는 아이러니를 접한다.
아무리 생각이 많고, 고민이 많고, 행동으로 보여준다고 스스로 다짐해도,
결국은 밖으로 ‘공적’ 으로 보이는 ‘나’가 자신을 규정한다는게 우스울 뿐이다.
눈감고 귀막고 하고 싶은 것만 묵묵히 해나가는 그런 삶이 가능할 수 있다면야 얼마나 좋겠냐 만은,
클릭 한번이면 전세계를 전시간을 누비는 이세상에서 그런 것이 쉬우려나.
오기가 아닌 정열로 일이 되어야 하는데 말이다.
누구를 위해서 하나, 무엇 때문에 이 *랄을 하고 있나.
고민해볼 일이다.

삶의 한템포를 늦춰가고 싶을 때,
다시 돌아가게 되는 음악들이 있다.
둥둥 떠가는 나를 다시 땅으로 당겨주고,
코끗이 찡해지는 감성을 다시 전달해 주는
그런 음악들 중 하나, “Hallelujah”
1984년 Leonard Cohen 에 의해 처음 발표되었던 이곡은 그 자신을 통해서 보다는 오히려 Jeff Buckley를 통해 유명해 졌다.
Rufus Wainwright 의 버전으로 영화 Shrek 때문에 대중적으로 유명해 졌다.

Leonard Cohen 이 시적인 가사를 쓰는 것은 누구나 알고 있지만, 이 곡을 그 가사의 경지만큼 올려놓은 것은 누가 뭐라해도 Jeff Buckley 일 것이다.

LCD SOUNDSYSTEM - Sound Of Silver
Prob. one of the best albums if not the best in 2007. Enjoyed this album so much. Every single track is a beauty. Hey, if you are not into electronica, well don’t bother though.
I have never been a fan of Radiohead, really. I didn’t like the gloomy, i-am-a-looser songs they put out in the 90’s. But wow, this album turned me into their fan after more than a decade of their music. ha!
Yes, she is on crack but good music is good music.
STARS - In Our Bedroom After the War
As I wrote in my semi-review, Stars remind me of The Smiths, one of my all time favorite bands. So there, no particular reason other than that..
